2022 Chevy Corvette C8 Stingray is now available with an improved engine
And three new colors
Whatever else you and I can say about the engine layout, the Corvette C8 Stingray took the supercar market by storm because it gave you so much asking so little in return. You're looking at a mid-engined V8 supercar for Audi A6/A7 money. Chevy is trying to hammer the iron while it's hot with the upgraded 2022 C8 and it now comes with more power and new paint options.
The 2022 Stingray will be available in Hypersonic Gray, Caffeine (I want this one) and Amplified Orange Tintcoat and whichever color you pick, you'll also find a brand-new low-profile rear spoiler and a revised front splitter.
The Active Fuel Management System in the 6.2 L V8 has been improved and enhanced with a new 'deactivation' feature, which means the engine will automatically use only 4 cylinder (upon request and/or at slow speeds), and that will inevitably lead to improved fuel consumption figures. On top of that, the engine will also have a little more power, now rated at 490 hp (or 495 hp with the optional performance exhaust).
The bad news is the C8 is a little more expensive than it was when it first came out, with pricing starting at $62,195 for the coupe and $69,695 for the convertible, but that's still a lot cheaper than an equivalent car that can do 0-60 in under 3 seconds.
