Hyundai has revealed the Ioniq 5 - an electric mid-sized crossover that will lead the EV revolution for the Korean brand.

The Ioniq 5 looks just like the 45 Concept that we saw a couple of years ago and is based on the E-GMP platform. It boasts a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive system and is available with two battery sizes - 72.6kWh and 58kWh. Thanks to 800V battery technology, the Hyundai has ultra-fast charging which will help the battery charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes.

The fastest version of the Ioniq 5 will have 302bhp and 446lb ft of torque which will help the Hyundai reach 60mph in 5.2 seconds and have a top speed of 115mph. As far as the range is concerned, the Ioniq 5 is capable of doing 292 miles on a single charge.

Inside you will find two 12 inch screens, flexible seats which can slide back by as much as 140 mm along with a flat floor. Hyundai claim that the interior is a "smart living space".

Other features include Advanced Head-Up Display, Hyundai’s Bluelink connected car services which will let owners control the car via their smartphone, 20 inch aero-optimized alloy wheels and door trim panels made from a recyclable material called ‘paperette’.
