The new Toyota Supra is definitely a love-hate relationship, for some, a huge disappointment screaming BMW, for others, a beautiful sports car, screaming awesomeness. Weather you like it or not, Toyota just released its “little” brother using the same 2.0L engine as the BMW Z4… again. Being 100kg lighter and having a perfect 50-50 weight distribution the new 2.0L Supra is claimed to handle better than its “big” brother. So, if you are on a budget and you also happen to love some corners you know what to choose. On the outside there is nothing to differentiate the 2.0L from the 3.0L, making this cheaper version even more tempting. The solitary turbo 2.0L engine producing 254bhp and 295lb ft is good enough for a 0-60 of 5.2 seconds while it will keep on pulling to the same 155mph limiter as its bigger brother.
245hp in a heavyish car isn’t plenty, but performance figures look promising. A 2.0L in a Supra does sound strange, but what do you think? Is it worth a look?
