3 REASONS AS TO WHY THE KOENIGSEGG REGERA IS ONE OF MY ALL-TIME FAVORITES.
Truly one of the most stunning beauties out there...
Sweden is known for many things, be it their wonderful innovations to their variations of music and so forth. However, a blessing in the form of Koenigsegg has struck the automotive world and for a great reason. While every Koenigsegg model to date is unique and majestic in its own way, the Regera is still one of the most underrated cars in the segment, IMHO, even though there is no segment because the Regera is in it's own bracket. So, here are three of my personal reasons as to why the Regera is highly valued and is one of my all-time favorites.
IT HAS A HYDRAULIC-ASSIST STEERING RACK, WHICH GIVES IT THAT OLD SCHOOL VISCERAL FEEL
As much as EPAS is prevalent in many cars today and when tuned properly, can also give out pretty a decent amount of feel, Hydraulic systems take communication and confidence up a few notches. Along with McLaren and Lotus, Koenigsegg also values the experience of driver and machine, which is wonderful and refreshing. To make it better, the hydraulic steering rack has little assistance, which may cause it to be a bit heavy at first, but as a driver, one would be confident with the Regera's motions. It's one of those fine details that some of us very much appreciate.
THE REGERA'S DESIGN IS MIND-BLOWINGLY BEAUTIFUL AND UNIQUE.
The Regera looks as if it's from another universe. Its classic, simple, yet fine-tuned modern design is what gets me appreciating this car more and it also sets itself apart from the other angry, macho, in-your-face designs. To me, there just doesn't seem to be a bad angle of this car.
THE REGERA (OR ALL OF KOENIGSEGG FOR THAT MATTER) PRESENTS INNOVATION THAT OTHER BIG PLAYERS WOULDN'T BOTHER TRYING
KDD (Koenigsegg Direct Drive/single speed), Hydracoup, etc. all have their own functions and take the entire driving experience to a whole new level. While the shifting may not be existent, KDD makes the power feel available and usable at any speed. That alone also sets it apart from the other hypercars.
Just imagine if more bigger OEMs were daring enough to try new things, instead of not being able to take risks. Just imagine the amount of advancements and cool experiments we'd have.
