35-year-old Yamaha RD500 discovered (still in its original box)

How could anyone misplace this bike

    47w ago

Yamaha's RD500 was the superbike of its day when it was released in 1985. The two-stroke 500cc V4 engine was similar to that used in the 500 Grand Prix machine of the era ridden by Eddie Lawson.

Today, a good quality example will reach £20,000 - making this box fresh example discovered in Australia worth even more. How could someone forget about this bike sat in its original box, untouched since the mid 80s?

    • MAN they must be a beast of a bike. A 2 stroke v4? I had the RD 400 that was enough (I was 17) & it was only twin cylinder.
