4 monsoonal affects
Yes it's true, this is what happens to Indian roads. soon after Monsoon.
Every year, every driver in our the country goes through a struggle. A struggle to go from point A to point B during the monsoons. For years, Governments came and Governments went, each one of them promising to end the problem for ever. But even after so many years of Independence, the roads still manage to give us these problems, only increasing because of the ever increasing number of cars on the road, every year.
1. Potholes
Ever dreamt of driving on the moon? Well you don't have to go there because huge craters, very much exist on our planet's roads. Due to poor construction material, almost 90% of our roads give birth to multiple potholes that make driving a nightmare.
2. Water Logging
When the water starts pouring and the drains becomes full, H2O starts taking over the roads. 6 lane highways become 3 lane highways and the chaos ensues. Traffics jams, road blocks, and what not. Water logging is bad but a phenomena we should be vary of.
3. Engine Seizures
With water water everywhere, chances are that some water might enter the engine via the exhaust and cause a Hydrostatic lock, which is a failure of the internal combustion engine, due to fluid entering the combustion chamber above the piston and preventing it from completing its cycle.
4. Traffic Jams
Potholes + water logging = people getting stuck. People getting stuck + people avoiding to get stuck = slow movement. Slow movement X number of cars on the road = traffic jam. Thus its mathematically proven that the monsoon is one of the major cause for torture to Indian drivers.
Sadly, traffic jams are considered to be a normal problem. But imagine a person dying of a heart attack and not being able to get medical attention because apparently the ambulance he's in, is stuck in one of these normal problems.
I urge my fellow Indian DriveTribers to keep raising their voice against the system till the problem of traffic jams, isn't normal anymore.
