James Bond is known for driving immaculate and bespoke Aston Martins and occasionally dabbling into Bentleys and Rolls Royces, but sometimes 007 goes outside the elite brands and drives & rides things like Toyota and even a Yamaha.

Toyota 2000GT-'You Only Live Twice'

Even though Bond does not actually drive a convertible 2000GT is the 'Bond Car' of the 1967 'You only Live Twice', driven by his girlfriend Aki who saves Bond from a hail of bullets coming from a 'black sedan'.

Sadly Toyota never made a convertible 2000GT that general public could buy, only building 2 cars for the film, as the standard car couldn't accomodated the rather tall Sean Connery who played Bond at the time.

Lots of BMW's in the 90's

In the 90's Bond developed a bit of a love affair or rather a brand partnership with BMW, thus GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies and The World Is Not Enough all feature Bond driving the Bavaria finest.

In GoldenEye bond drives the 'humble' Z3 armed with stinger missiles,in Tomorrow Never Dies he moves up to a 750iL armored limo which came with all of your standard Bond equipment, such as missile launchers and a remote control in the form of a mobile phone, in 1997.

The Bond and BMW love affair finished on 'The World Is Not Enough' with Bond driving the BMW Z8 arguably on of the best looking BMWs out there... In the film it appears briefly shooting down one helicopter before being cut in half by another one.

Yamaha XJ650 Turbo Seca -'Never Say Never Again'

Okay so it's not a car, and if you are not a bike person you probably wont car or know what the hell is it. I have to admit I did no know either, but seeing the words Yamaha and Turbo next to each other on a machine that comes in at well under 250kg can only mean great things.

Q sends the bike to Bond in 'Never Say Never Again' who uses it to chase after a Renault 5 Turbo, which has to be one of the coolest Bond chase scenes ever, at least from a petrolheads view point.

Ford Mustang Mach 1- 'Diamonds Are Forver'

Probably on of the most unsophisticated, brutal and straight up uncultured Bond car came in the form of Mustang Mach 1 in the 'Diamonds Are Forever' where Bond gives up sophisticated DB5 for a Mustang Mach 1 . Which he uses to escape a bunch of cop cars in amazingly 70's car chase scene, hilarious.

Which one is your favourite ? Did I miss your favourite out ?

Would you pick any of these over the trusty DB5 ?
