5 more of my Favorite American Cars
Nothing quite says America and freedom quite like these American cars
It is Independence day in the greatest nation on Earth (at the time of writing). I figured to Celebrate, I would post some of my favorite American cars that scream freedom. This is adding to my list of my favorite American cars from last year and if you haven't checked out, click here.
1.) Hummer H1 & H2
Hummer H1
Hummer H2
Let's kick this list off with the Hummer Brand. No not that Electric GMC Hummer crap, but everyone's favorite military based gas-guzzler. Nothing can quite express freedom like these overpriced off-roaders. They big, brash, and obnoxious, and feature a fuel sipping 9-13 mpg. They also have incredible off-road capabilities that nobody knows about because they are owned by rappers who give them the DUB Magazine treatment
2.) 1970 Plymouth Barracuda
1970 Plymouth Barracuda
The 1970 Plymouth Barracuda is easily my favorite classic American Muscle car. Based on the then new Dodge Challenger, it was very good looking . It also took the term no replacement for displacement seriously. One of the most sought after models are the models that came with the 440ci Magnum engine that made 375-390hp, while the most sought after models where the Hemi 'Cudas which had the 425hp 426ci Hemi engine.
3.) Dodge Charger Daytona/Plymouth Superbird
The Dodge Charger Daytona and Superbird have their differences but I love them both equally from their crazy cone noses to the stupidly tall 23" rear spoilers.
4.) Chevrolet Corvette ZL1
1969 Corvette ZL1
Yes you read that correctly. The Corvette ZL1 is a super rare Corvette that was made in 1969 and with 500hp, it was the most powerful Corvette made until the C6 ZR1 was introduced in 2009, and took its crown. It was completely bonkers and less than 5 Corvette ZL1s were made.
5.) 2011 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake
2011 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake built for NFS: The Run
No American car list would be complete without some sort of Mustang and this one is one of my favorites. The 2011 Shelby Super Snake is one of my favorite Mustang of the S197 generation. It is just pure insanity with 800 American horsepower under your right foot waiting to destroy anything in it's path.
