5 of the most insanely expensive car options
When I bought my Megane RS, I thought the Cup pack was expensive at £1,200 but of course some of the options on the modern supercars could buy a nice family car 5 times over, but just how expensive are they?
5. Porsche 918 Spyder Liquid Metal Paint - $63,000
Compared to the others in this list, the Liquid Metal paint offered by Porsche is an absolute bargain at $63,000. Well, if you can afford to pay almost a million for the car itself, the paint isn't a huge stretch.
4. Pagani Huayra bare carbon fibre body - $152,000
When buying a Pagani Huayra with a price tag over a million dollars you can expect some pretty expensive options, especially when designing your own parts but the most expensive part they offer as standard is the bare carbon fibre body.
3. Bentley Bentayga Breitling Clock - $170,000
As you can imagine with Bentley the list of options is almost endless but the Mulliner Tourbillon timepiece that sits on the dash will cost you $170,000. Before you judge, it's made from 18-carat gold that can be finished in either rose or white, contained in a beautiful 28mm case.
2. Bugatti Chiron bare carbon fibre body - $300,000
The Chiron has set many, many records like the longest single LED light in the world and just recently breaking the 300mph for an (almost) production car which demands high prices in return for such a car. The bare carbon body will set you back $300,000 which isn't actually that much considering the $2,000,000 price tag of the actual car.
1. Ferrari LaFerrari carbon fibre front end - $333,500
Naturally Ferrari would top this list with their carbon fibre front end which costs as much as a Lamborghini Aventador SV (just to put that into perspective). Considering the LaFerrari is appreciating quickly, it could be a good investment.
