F1 2018 is delivering. Another great race in Shanghai saw Daniel Ricciardo take his first win since Baku last year with some great Red Bull strategy and some scintillating overtakes by the Honey Badger.

Whilst the Aussie was smiling (more than usual), there were many disgruntled drivers after the race in China. Many had issues and incidents during the race which meant their Grand Prix was ruined.

Here were the top 5 ways to ruin your race in China:

WHEN YOU PIT TOO LATE

Having looked very comfortable at the beginning of the race, Ferrari were caught out by the undercut. Bottas pit a lap earlier than Vettel. A combination of a slow Ferrari pitstop meant that Vettel lost the lead and from there on in it didn't look like he was going to take it back.

WHEN YOU PIT FAR FAR TOO LATE

After Ferrari's blunder with Vettel, they decided to leave Kimi out as a sacrificial lamb. The plan was to hold up Bottas but it didn't work. When Raikkonen did finally pit he was way down in 6th place and any chance of a win was gone.

WHEN YOU CRASH INTO YOUR TEAMMATE

After the highs of Bahrain, Toro Rosso came crashing back down to earth with this clumsy crash between Gasly and Hartley. Gasly had a damaged front wing and was handed a 10 second penalty, whilst Hartley was left in a spin and at the back of the field.

WHEN YOUR TEAM DON'T PIT YOU UNDER THE SAFETY CAR

When the safety car was called out Bottas and Vettel did not have the chance to pit as they had already passed the entrance. Mercedes could have pit Hamilton though. With fresh tyres he could have been piling through the field with the Red Bulls. Instead he finished in a lowly 5th.

WHEN VERSTAPPEN CRASHES INTO YOU

Another clumsy race from Verstappen. Having already been off the road trying to pass Hamilton, he then ruined both his and Vettel's race by spinning into the Ferrari at the hairpin. Verstappen could have won the race, but threw it away with some poor driving.

  • Ferrari and Mercedes might have "Party Mode" but Red Bull has Verstappen and "Crash the Party" mode
