6 electric and hybrid cars that will be future classics

50w ago

There are hundreds of electric cars planned for the future but what about the current ones? I am pretty sure the current load of electric and hybrid cars will become classic by 2050. But which electric cars will echo through that time like the Jaguar E type or the Alfa Romeo Tipo Stradale 33?

1: BMW i8

A car that Darth Vader would drive and this grand tourer also looks like spaceship (just don't send it into space). For a hybrid it can beat most petrol cars looks and having a top speed of 250 km/h it's quite fast. This is a future classic for sure.

2: Tesla Model X

I am not really a fan of Tesla but I do love the Tesla Model X. Also able to reach 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds it is the fastest accelerating SUV. It also has gullwing doors and what could be more cooler than that?

3: Porsche 918 Spyder

The successor of the Porsche Carrera GT the 918 has beaten a few records. Such as the first series production street-legal car to break the 7-minute barrier at the Nürburgring with a time of 6 minutes and 57 seconds. Also beating the Mclaren P1 and the Ferrari LaFerrari in series 1 episode one of The Grand tour making it no tortoise.

4: Rimac Concept Two

The Rimac Concept Two is more beefed up than the Rimac Concept One. It is, even safer with a built-in fire extinguisher just in case of a Swiss hill climb crash. Also looking like something that rolled off Star Trek its looks aren't that bad either.

5: Ferrari LaFerrari

Even if it's name means Ferrari The Ferrari this is still a fantastic car. This is basically the modern day ferrari Enzo with a top speed of 349 km/h (217 mph) which is quite similar to the Enzo's speed as well.

6: Mclaren P1

This hybrid monster is basically the modern day Mclaren F1. Well it hasn't broken the record for being the fastest car and it's engine only has gold plating rather than being made of gold but it has a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph) it is just short of the F1 speed by 36 km/h (23 mph) it is not a slug.

What do you think?

Do you think these 6 electric and hybrid cars could be future classic? Or do you have other electric and hybrid cars that could be future classic? Let me know what you think in the comments below. Thanks for reading.

Which is your pick?
