New leader? Feeling lost? Want to help? Here's the ultimate guide for leading a DriveTribe Club, in the form of 6 top tips for Leaders and Contributors that want to make their clubs the best club on DriveTribe:
1 - Bump and comment every post and closely follow activity in your club
This is the initial step for all Club leaders. Once you get an active group you won't need to worry too much as the group will support itself;
2 - Create original content
You can write promotable content that will give the Tribe exposure and/or keep a stream of daily simple posts to make your Tribe active.
Prioritise content about ownership: pictures of your car will work better than pictures of cars you found on the internet.
Avoid publishing pictures you got from the internet unless you have a strong discussion point to go along with it.
Feel free to reach any ambassador if you need writing tips. They are the ones indicated across DriveTribe with a gold chevron next to their profile pictures.
3 - Invite users to post
UGC is more than welcome in Community Tribes and so are articles, quizzes, polls. Clubs are meant to be fun - as long as we respect the terms. (No boobies, please, male or female.)
4 - Suggest discussion topics and activities
Create fun discussions or games and use our @tribe tool to announce it. Just head to the comment section of your post and type your push and @tribe at the end of your message. Remember: pushes need to be short and catchy. Most screens will only display 100 characters, so use them wisely.
What works:
"Where do you buy your DMC parts? @tribe"
"This store is the paradise for DMC owners. Read more here. @tribe"
What doesn't work:
"Hello, everyone. My name is Pat. It's a beautiful day here in Brazil. I wrote this post while waiting for my lunch to be delivered. Anyway, here it is. @tribe"
"DMC parts review."
Only Club Leaders can send @tribe push notifications. With great power comes great responsibility.
5 - Identify power users and add them to the team
Power Users are people that post a lot, active commenters or users that have access to resources. Make sure to integrate them into the community by giving them exposure and making them happy to be part of the Club. Life is better with friends, I'm told.
6 - Seek new opportunities to invite members to your Club
There are many ways to achieve that: you can post on your Instagram, collab with another user, go to events, etc. Test various approaches to see what works best in your niche.

How do I make a tribe
how do you create a new club tribe? I run the Carver Owners Club www.cvr-oc.info and want to add a tribe for it
can help you with that.
P.s. Your website isn't loading here. :(
You see I'm a very interesting and always right sort of person and your advice sounds like an awful lot of work to a very lazy man like me. So can you tell me if I were to work very hard and be witty and entertaining in my postings, how long would it be before I would be filthy rich!
I’ve been trying for a few years and I’m still poor, so I’m not the best person to give you advice. However, if you seek fun rather than riches, you’ll get it instantly. :)
I want to be funny and richie...... it's the best combo..... thanks for the comment, I've always thought the same.
I too am a tribe leader and till now, I can say I've failed in keeping it active. I'm going to change the objective so that all the previously focussed-on content is now concentrated in the 'DriveTribe India' tribe. My tribe will now be called 'Spotted in India'.
