The car is owned by a collector who had had travelled to the Nürburgring for the event and of course there is only one thing we want now: should return to the legendary track for our camera. Dunlop had called in Hans-Joachim »Striezel« Stuck as the driver and at 8 o’clock the following morning the 956 rolls out of the pit box. The weather is typical for the Eiffel, with thick mist covering the first curves. Three bends later, the sun breaks through and at 8:30 we’re back in the box again...
