I've had this model sitting in my drafts for more than a month now. I got sidetracked by a bunch of other cars and never got around to completing it. When our CEO (Chief Enabling Officer), Live and Let Diecast majordomo, and ardent supporter of the Fried Egg Movement, Scott Nadeau, flashed us his AUTOart 996 GT2 yesterday, that was the impetus I needed to finally get these shots done. Seal Grey on hot pink for you guys today.
There was once a time when I actually considered eschewing the GT Spirit model of the 4S and grab the much cheaper Maisto instead. I'm glad I didn't. What a fool I was for even thinking that. This one is fantastic. What it lacks in features, being a static model, it makes up for with an overall sharpness and crispness that even the mighty AUTOart doesn't possess. Wheels and brakes, headlight detail, and paint finish are strong points of any GT Spirit piece.
It's time we finally show a little bit of love for the 996. Let's keep this movement going. New member registration starts tomorrow morning at 9 AM Eastern time. See you guys there!
