- 1/18 1996 McLaren F1 Short Tail

A 1/18 McLaren F1 by Solido will be available soon

I've been to one of my favorite model car websites today where I saw that a Solido McLaren F1 Short Tail from 1996 will by available from December.

Being a Solido model it'll have a very affordable price of 40€. For that you seem to get realistically openable doors.

The F1 will be available in at least two finishes, this is the other one.

Are you looking forward to that model or would you prefer a long tail version?

  • Boy, they got the Nick Mason one. Seems neat. The Gulf one, meanwhile, will pair well with Hot Wheels' first version of the Gulf car.

That said, unless they already released the UenoClinic one, the variety kinda seems a bit lacking.

    • They haven't released a UenoClinic one so far but by Solido there often are models with new paintschemes announced a few days after the model has come out originally.

  • That’s alright. I’ve already got the autoart not to mention my 1:12 scale. 😉

    • Of course the AutoArt model is a lot better, but it probably cost three or four times as much. And the 1:12 model is very cool!

    • I'm seriously considering getting me the Gulf one even though I'm not a huge fan of the F1 normally, because it's looking so good!

    • For that price I agree!! Where are these for sale?... asking for a friend.

    • Yeah, while I don't like the looks of a standard F1 a lot, I think with the spoiler and especially that paintscheme it looks really nice!
