A Big Thanks To DriveTribe
A lot has happened in the time I have been on DT. I want to take a moment and thank everyone.
I started writing on DriveTribe almost a year and a half ago. My credentials; my college transcript and being a car enthusiast, who on occasion went to the drag strip. Inspired by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May to be an automotive journalist, I took my writing to a new platform. DriveTribe launched and gave much promise to aspiring journalists and content creators around the globe. So far to this day, it still holds that promise. Now, we have a community of content creators who are able to be shared and get recognition for their hard work on the DriveTribe homepage.
From what I remember, either Jeremy, Richard, or James said DriveTribe is a community site where people all over the world who love cars - or anything else with an engine and wheels - can get together and talk. The "tribes" that have been created are communities that talk about what interests not only one person, but millions in some cases. It hasn't been easy getting over 150 plus members to join my tribe, but I try with every article and post to draw more in. Eventually I shall get there, but for now I must work hard to get more to join. North's Auto Reviews would not exist without DriveTribe because I would just be stuck in my world of learning history in college and watching "The Grand Tour" while wishing I could be like the "Big Three" I see on the screen. I would not be able to consider myself an automotive journalist without jumping on-board with DriveTribe and trying to make a name for myself.
Since I started, I have been my own PR, my writing has greatly improved, I have had a few press cars from manufacturers (with more to come), Dealerships have worked with me, I have partnered with a product manufacturer called "Stick` It To Em Vinyl" who sell my merchandise, I have so far been to two Auto Shows (Philadelphia twice), I have my own website (under construction), and people genuinely ask me car recommendations over the time I have been writing. I do plan on doing more as well with content. I have said before that I plan on doing videos (which I have been making, just not reviews but a series). But again, this would not have been possible without DriveTribe. Now I can say I have started a new passion. Cars and everything about them. Sure, I have my own opinions about some cars, but the differences between each car is unique. I am pleased to say that I am following a new passion. I used to love just history and racing cars. Now, writing about cars and comparing them to others has been added to my list.
So, thank you DriveTribe for being the place where I am able to write and post my articles and do what I love. Thank you ambassadors for sharing and distributing my content to other tribes. Thank you Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May for inspiring me to be an automotive journalist. Thank you readers for taking the time to read my reviews and articles. Last but not least, thank you followers for just being there, ready for the next article to be published. Have a great day and stay tuned!
