A bounty of info from an Acura infotainment system
Clever customer finds images in a new RDX's infotainment that appear to be renders of the mid-life refresh of the TLX and MDX
Over on the Acurazine forum a curious poster used his skills to poke around in the infotainment system of his new RDX. He found some potentially tantalizing images of what appear to be mid-life refrehes of the full size SUV MDX and Acura's entry level sedan TLX.
Other images found also hint at motorized adjustable head rests and more driving modes to choose from including Comfort, Lift, Normal, Personal, Slippery, Sport+, Sport, and Snow.
The LED lighting is narrower, the front grille and Acura badging appear smaller and the lower portion of the bumper appears to be taller than current iterations giving the car a bit more aggressive look. No gaping maw of a Lexus here, thank goodness! The side panels give the TLX a bit more of an Infiniti sedan look and that's not a bad thing either.
When AutomobileMag reached out to Acura for comment, the representative took it all in stride stating: “These conceptual renderings were embedded deep in the RDX’s user interface software for placement only. While the renderings are conceptual and based on our Precision Concept design language, we are pleased with the anticipation and positive reaction, and are excited to share details of future Acura products at the appropriate time.”
