1978

At that time Remi was a small four-year-old Boy who played with his model cars and loved every second of doing so. But that one car was missing in his collection but Remi didn't know it yet.

So one day his father walked in and gave him a model car Renault Alpine A310 in Alpine Blue. Remi was instantly in love with that A310 from that moment on. He also knew that one day he would own the real thing, the real Alpine A310...

Life goes on

Time passes, Remi gets older but his dream is still as prominent as back in 1978...

The dream aspect should however soon change. After observing the Alpine market for a while he realized that the A310's were not getting cheaper. On the contrary, the prices were rising. So Remi knew, that it was now or never.

Pull the trigger

Obviously, you would not be reading this if Remi had not "pulled the trigger".

So here it was. The dream car Remi always wanted. It took a while to sink in, but when it did, boy did Remi love it. " It's such a great car. It's great for long journeys due to its comfortable seats but also handles like a classic 911 up a mountain pass ". Which when you think about it, is exactly what it is. The French equivalent of a 911. The six-cylinder engine is placed behind the rear axle and it produces similar power to a Porsche of that era.

-1 Engine

People like to blow up their engines when pushing too hard or adding too much boost pressure. But not Remi. He just mixes two coolants and et voilà, minus one V6. So now he's running a replacement engine and is rebuilding the original engine.

Other than that, his ownership experience has been flawless...

La FIN

Remi, as you might have guessed, is a huge fan of french culture and also their car culture. He owns a couple of other french vehicles and even converted a Renault 4CV to an electric drivetrain.

All in all, he's just happy to call his childhood dream his and loves to share the ownership experience on his Instagram channel @remichanics

As always, thanks Remi for sharing your Story with us, and it was a pleasure filming with you.
