It is that time of year again. Not only is The Grand Tour coming back with a special December 13th but Top Gear have just announced this years Christmas special.

This special shows the three presenters, Paddy McGuinness, Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris driving their 'future proof' £5,000 city cars across Nepal.

But what cars have they gone for? Well, Chris has gone for a Renault 4, Paddy a Peugeot 106 Rallye and Freddie went for...well...nothing. It turns out he waits until in Nepal itself to buy a locally made car.

Their journey shows them driving from Kathmandu, to the Forbidden City of Lo Manthang to the Himalayas. I'm sure it'll be as thrilling as always and provide us with some great entertainment as we recover from a hectic Christmas.

This Christmas special will air on December 29th at 9pm on BBC TWO.

Will you be watching it?

  • Looks like it will be a fun watch. Ironically i can still happily watch repeats of Clarkson, May and Hammond era TG but not since they left.

  • Just watching it first time seeing a special since The Boys left..oh boy it's so bad and not in any way shape or form a good way. The banter what there is sounds false and you can see that these guys couldn't care less about each other. They are just doing the job. I wouldn't mind if they did something original they even used lines from previous specials. Just open the gate and put the horse out to pasture....

  • I think Chris Harris is the only person in a long while who would be capable of joining TG proper, even as a fourth member. If only they didn't keep lumbering him with shocking scripts and "off the cuff" jokes. Hes so passionate and knowledgeable about all things car and actually seems to care about the show, not jsut going along with it for a pay packet.

Sadly, the BBC just lumbers him with buffoons more intent on furthering there own careers rather than wanting to make a great show. How long before Chris goes the wya of Rory? :(
