A carbon fibre beauty from AutoArt
Lamborghini's Sesto Elemento in 1/18th scale...
During the holiday season, CK Models had a slew of Sesto Elementos marked down to ridiculous prices. Unfortunately for collectors Stateside, the DHL surcharge tacked on top of already costly intercontinental shipping wiped out any savings whatsoever. The rare Lambo was always intriguing to me, but it's astronomical price tag turned me right off. I definitely would have snatched one up from CK if it weren't for that pesky surcharge.
Low and behold, a vendor on my side of the pond ended up getting a whole bunch of these Sestos too. These were also discounted heavily for Black Friday, and shipping costs from a couple states over made it totally affordable. On top of that, they had a promo code for a few more bucks off. May I present to you, my third and final Black Friday 2020 score: AutoArt's Lamborghini Sesto Elemento.
Lamborghini produced twenty of these alien spaceships. Of course, they were all sold out before these finished rolling off the line despite their $3 million price tag. The name Sesto Elemento loosely translates to "sixth element". A quick reference to your handy periodic table will tell you that's carbon, as in carbon fibre. The car's body, suspension bits, and chassis are all made out of the magic material, bringing its weight down to just 2,200 pounds. Combining this craftsmanship with the Gallardo's 5.2L V10, the Sesto Elemento shot to 60mph in a mind-bending 2.5 seconds. That's probably as long as it took you to read that last sentence.
AutoArt designed 247 metal and plastic components to this model. This includes twenty-two photo-etched parts like the real permeable grilles on the air ducts. The entire rear of the car detaches to reveal that Lambo V10 and carbon fibre chassis. You'll also get a fully carpeted cockpit and detailed safety harnesses. Such a beautiful, beautiful car that I never considered adding to my collection until that amazing deal!
