C-111 vs. M1 E26

In the late 60s, Mercedes-Benz was experimenting with different engine types, including diesel, turbo and most interesting, rotaries. The C-111 was a concept car that featured two types each with mid-engine Rotaries on that was 1.8L and another 2.4L. although not a lot is known on how it would perform on the race track, the numbers are very much in its favor with a tiny bit more horsepower and a better Power to Weight Ratio. The M1 was the first car of BMW's Performance division, simply named, "M". The M1 was the start of a special breed of car enthusiasts that's adored race spec power and common car luxury which we see in the later E30 M3 and E28 M5.
