A Dodge driving with open scissor doors is the weirdest thing you'll see today

But why does it have scissor doors and why are they open on the motorway?

Ever since the Lamborghini Aventador came out in 2011, tuners and modified car owners all over the world have decided to replicate it with their two-door coupes. But very few have done it with an ordinary four-door... until now.

What you're looking at here is a 2010 Dodge Charger with four scissor doors driving down a road in Kentucky. But the odd thing is, they are all open and we have no idea why. We assume it's a way to 'show off' but it is also very dangerous and extremely irresponsible.

This footage was posted to Facebook by 1320Video where it has already accumulated almost half a million views at the time of this writing. It's pretty safe to say it's gone viral, but that's the only safe thing about it.

  • Is this a West Coast Customs special?!!! For people with no taste and WCC are quite happy taking peoples money to create monstrosities.

    Jokes:

    - when they fart and open windows don’t extract quick enough

    - when the A/C packed up and this was the only option

    - when the owner equalises the inside and outside cannabis smell

    - fitting doors like that is technically writing it off!!

    - two tone….. really!!!

    Sorry….. couldn’t resist.

  • "Ever since the Lamborghini Aventador came out in 2011, tuners and modified car owners all over the world have decided to replicate it with their two-door coupes." Eh?!? Pretty sure "scissor" doors have been around waaaaay longer than 2011. Try take another ten years off that at the least.

  • I don’t understand the thought process of some people.

There are several outfits that can provide the hardware to convert the doors to this for about 2 grand. The car is worth, on a good day, $8000.

Not my cup of tea but the guy is certainly committed.

Driving on a kentucky highway with the doors up can’t be any more dangerous then a Jeep with the doors off.

He was likely laughing his ass off while doing it, that alone made it worth it.
