A Fighter Jet For The Road: The Lamborghini Aventador Super veloce Jota

It even has a thrust mode

The Lamborghini Aventador first came out for the 2012 model year and since then it has become more powerful, faster, quicker and more exclusive versions have been created. The latest and possibly the last is this, the SVJ. Super Veloce Jota means super speed. Jota is an iconic name that Lamborghini have used since the legendary Miura. The aventador is inspired by a fighter jet. But the SVJ is a fighter jet. Lets dig in deeper to see what the Aventador SVJ really is all about.

The Aventador SVJ is powered by a 6.5 L naturally aspirated V-12. It uses dual overhead camshafts with its own unique crankshaft. It can perform up to 759 horsepower and 531 lb ft of torque. Insane, but healthy figures. And remember it doesn't use turbos or a supercharger. It is all high tech motor and nothing else. With an AWD system, thrust mode and 759 horsepower, the SVJ can propel from 0-60 mph in just 2.8 seconds. It will launch so hard, your chest will pull itself apart and your body will be smashed into your bucket seat. And thanks to the single clutch 7-speed transmission, shifts are incredibly hardcore and the Aventador will likely cause some pain in your body. But it should be worth it. Especially when you spend half a million dollars at least to be able to own one.

When it comes to design, it is nothing short of out of this world. ALA aerodynamics or Aerodynamica Lamborghini Attiva is a recent development of high performing aerodynamics that produce enough downforce for the best handling, physically possible. The SVJ can generate 40% more downforce than the "lower" level SV. The front hood has snorkel like holes and the rear bonnet's aggressive design is indescribable. The rear wing is massive and you guessed it, made of carbon fiber. The dual exhausts rest in the middle of the rear. Massive SVJ lettering is displayed on the rear fenders. You can order and SVJ without the lettering, but why would you? Oh and don't let me forget to mention that it has iconic scissor doors. Who doesn't want that on their Lamborghini. Unfortunately the V-10 models like the Gallardo and Huracan don't get these epic doors. But the superior V-12 models sure do.

The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ is the best flagship Lamborghini model since the Countach. It has an amazing naturally aspirated V-12 soundtrack. Along with an incredible driving experience that is so thrilling. It will catch every eye on the road and will excite those who dream of it, hear it, see it and drive it. Now lets get back to dreaming of seeing and owning the great Lamborghini Aventador Super Veloce Jota. Thanks for reading and if you enjoyed don't forget to bump and follow for more!

  • Wow that’s nice. Tomica definitely nailed the details on this. The lights and the well-defined creases in the body are great, especially at this scale. I’ve almost bought Tomica models many times but I think the price bump for them in the U.S is too high…

  • This is kind of like the Ferrari f40. Its the last properly fast Lamborghini to not heavily rely on computerized functions. A sort of last hurrah before analogue becomes outdated
