A fitting send-off
Benefit car show to celebrate the life of a friend and raise some money for the family
Sunday, December 4 - hundreds of muscle cars came to a show (whether they were show cars or not) to celebrate the life of a friend taken too soon. Our friend Ed Burrow - also a loving husband and father, was known as "Fast Eddie" - he loved his Chevy Nova and Coors Light, and made no bones about how he felt about LS motors.
1st annual car show to benefit Fast Eddie
We all came together yesterday - Ford, Chevy, Mopar - to have one last hurrah in Ed's honor - there were some beers kicked back, some tires may have been smoked, and some great memories were shared. Many of us only knew each other from Facebook or various internet forums, and got the chance to finally meet face to face. Funny how one guy had such an impact on so many people - I'd venture to bet money that Ed had no idea how many people cared so much about him - he would be pretty shocked if he had seen the turnout at this show.
Thanks to everyone who put the show together, those who came out, those who contributed to the cause in order to help raise money, and those who came out to show some love for a good friend. Fast Eddie will be missed but not forgotten!
RIP Fast Eddie
