A Grand Detour!
Slow and steady won this race
I had a special delivery last Thursday, in the form of the latest Grand Tour book. This latest offering does exactly what it says on the cover, and gives us a guided 'A To Z Of The Car' with some incredible photos and artwork inside, along with informative reading of course.
I won't spoil it for those of you who may wish to purchase it, but it is well worth buying. You can take my word for it!
Released last Thursday, I excitedly waited for its arrival via Amazon. After eagerly keeping an eye on the tracking, I was excited when it stated that it had reached its destination.
What could possibly go wrong?
However, in true Lou fashion, it didn't quite go that smoothe. Things often don't.
I patiently (ish) waited for the delivery guy to ring the intercom to our flat, but it wasn't to be!
So, I went to check where he was, but there was no sight of him! As you can imagine, I was in a tizz wondering where he had disappeared to.
So, I sat back at the pc and checked the tracking again, and low and behold, he was heading away from our address!
I was just about to attempt to find out what had happened, when I received a phone call.
Thankfully, it was a delivery guy asking me if I was at home. I told him that I was, and when he arrived I explained about the tracking to him.
It turned out that the tracking I was given, was for someone else in my area, who was receiving a parcel at the same time as mine was due. There had been a mixup with the tracking information given to me. Typical!
You could almost say, that this book had been on a Grand Tour of its own in a way!
