A Nissan 240SX with 74,000 miles just sold for big money
It appears that Nissan's 240SX is becoming a collector car!
We all know that Japenese sportscars are keen to pick up in value, especially when kept in n immaculate manner. Well, now it's the Nissan 240SX's turn to become a collectible.
Earlier this week, a 1990 Nissan 240SX with only 74,000 miles (119,000 km) on the clock sold for $32,750 on Bring a Trailer. This is rather exceptional given that the car is 30 years old, and while yes, 74,000 miles isn't exactly a lot, it's not new either.
However, this high-sales price can be justified due to the seller's immaculate care of the vehicle. Just looking at it, the car is in great condition, with no noticeable flaws on the bodywork, except for the dented roof. The car is in great running condition and has been taken care of very well, as the service records show. Everything on it is stock, and the Carfax shows that the car hasn't been in any accidents or any major damages.
If you put it all together, it makes sense that this car sold for such a high price. The engine, a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder making 140 horsepower, hasn't been modded one bit. The fact that it's paired to a manual makes the car even more desirable. Add all of that with the beautiful condition of this 240SX, and it suddenly makes sense why it sold for $32,750.
