They named it "Quintessenza". Dutch Cars Extravert have developed a project to convert old Porsche 911 to electric.

The starting point is simple: integrate an electric motor in several 911 dating from the 1970s and 1980s. More precisely, these are 60 kWh batteries that can reach up to 400 km of range. The project also plans to significantly improve the handling of road racing, via the battery assembly on both trains allowing a better distribution of weight between the axles.

And that's not all ! These mechanical magicians also intend to return to the model of the 1960s, by dismantling all vehicles in their possession before assembling them again to better transform them.

An electric 911's of the sixties ... You had to think about it! Cars Extravert estimates that its 911 electric will be able to reach the 0 to 100 km / h in 6 seconds. The company intends to produce 12 models in a few months, before designing 3 models per month from 2020. But do not dream too much: the total price per model is estimated at ... 300,000 euros, excluding taxes.

  • Brilliant idea. Already in front on carbon as the vehicle already exists

  • It would be more simple to create a new electric model than replace the internal combustion engine with an electric engine.
