A very rare Ferrari 599 60F1 Alonso Edition was recently destroyed in Germany following a road accident. The owner was reported to have lost control of his sports car in the rain at high speed while driving on the Autobahn. It is very likely that the person hydroplaned and hit the safety railings.

In view of the condition of the vehicle, the Italian would have hit the guardrails several times before coming to rest in the traffic lanes. The front bumper has come off and the bonnet is severely bent. The car may not have been the only one involved in the accident as a black Audi A6 can be seen in the background.

As a reminder, the Ferrari 599 60F1 Alonso Edition was produced in only 40 units in 2011. This limited edition celebrated Ferrari's 60 years of Formula 1 victories. This model was available in three configurations. The example shown here has white stickers on the bottom of the front wing and on the top of the side glazing.

  • i bet there are going to be people saying what a rich idiot, but if it was a r33 or a supra, oh wait jdm fanboys don't care about those, a 1200hp mk4 supra that wrecked there would be like 20 comments saying why did this legend had to die.

  • The remaining 39 just got a bit more valuable. Watch what happens when numbers reduce further and the prices start going up.
