A Short Remembrance Of The Lamborghini Urraco
Just a little reminder of this unknown Lamborghini, A Celebration to celebrate the 50th Birthday of the Lamborghini Urraco
One of the most brave and underrated super cars. As it stood in the Miuras and Countachs shadows, the Urraco is one of the most underrated and unknown Lamborghinis and supercars of all time. It was introduced at the Turin Auto Show in 1970, and it was produced through 1972-1979. The interesting name "Urraco" translates to little bull, which definitely keeps the Lamborghini spirit alive .
It expanded the Lamborghini brand into the budget super car slot. It came, it conquered, and know one even knew about it. Even though it is a car to make fun of, the Urraco was considered a brilliant car by many petrol heads and many of Lamborghinis engineers. Yes a four seater Lamborghini, with a very simple and minimal design by Marcello Gandini, who also designed the legendary Miura. With a 3.0 Litre V8 engine this supercar produces only 180bhp. It was one of the quickest when it first came out. With 0-60 mph just in 6.1 sec and top speed 165 mph, the Urraco can really smoke its rivals while holding people in the back as well. Designed to have simple clean lines, with a minilmaslt look this car is not only good performance and comfort wise, but it is also a overall unique and beautiful car.
The Urraco has a naturally aspirated eight cylinder V transverse middle engine providing a maximum torque of 226 Nm, including a mid-mounted V8 rear engine and independent suspension, also equipped with a MacPherson strut system in the front and Champan struts in the rear. It isn't the most powerful, but it is definitely a car to remember. Happy 50th Birthday Lamborghini Urraco!
