A trip down one of Ohio's best driving roads: Hocking Hills bypass

Ohio is not just cows and cornfields, there is some beautiful scenery as well

I'm sure if you are not from the Ohio area, then it does not sound like a very exciting place to drive or see. That is where you would be wrong.

The Ohio woodlands has some of the most beautiful scenery there is.

Filled with lush green trees this Ohio road boasts some of the most exciting and vibrant scenery, especially in the fall seeing the explosion of beautiful colors of the leaves in oranges, reds and yellows.

As far as driving roads, what are you wanting?

Long straight stretches for miles or curvy as can be?

We have both but personally I prefer them curvy.

According to Autoblog.com they have listed this as Ohio's number one driving road and I can see why.

One curve right after another and filled with lush green trees and rock formations along the way.

You can plan quite the trip to this area of Ohio. State parks with hiking trails, zip line tours, horseback riding and even a star gazing observatory.

There is more to the beauty of Ohio in the gallery below.

What would you want to drive on this road?

  • I HAVE DRIVEN ON THIS ROAD!! I grew up in Athens. I spent my first month in Ohio in a tent at Old Man's Cave at age 3. I have been back as an adult in a real car to rip up these roads. Oh yes, this is one of the best places in the US to get your twisties on. Car and Driver does there Top Ten Shootout on this road and has for some years. 10 out of 10 for fun. It's a must drive for fans of the twisties!!

EPIC Jane!!! Glad you put this up so others can see what I have been talking about. Tail of the Dragon in TN? Pffft ... Hocking Hills!!
