This weekend was the final round of the 2021 Formula Drift Championship and it brought the competitors to the House of Drift - Irwindale Speedway.

Going into the final round of the 2021 Formula Drift Championship Fredric Aasbo had the lead. Matt Field and Chelsea DeNofa were chasing him for the lead and the championship. At Irwindale, Field and DeNofa met in the Top 8 round where Field came out on top leaving Aasbo only to worry about him on the other side of the bracket to potentially meet in the final.

It was Field's "Frenemy" teammate Aurimas "Odi" Bakchis who prevented him from reaching the final in Top 4 while Aasbo defeated reigning 2020 Formula Drift Champion Vaughn Gittin Jr to solidify his standing as 2021 Formula Drift Champion without having to win the Irwindale event due to points collected.
