Aces Wild: Custom Midcentury Modern Supermarket Diorama Building

Classic HO scale kit enhanced & detailed for my diecast diorama displays.

I just finished my midcentury modern grocery store building for my diorama on the night of the 13th of June. I used the factory decals, thinking the name/logo were close to those often used by immigrant entrepreneurs for neighborhood grocery stores (which are often located in older architecture like this, too)

I added a great deal of printed, scratchbuilt, and resin cast interior detail to this circa 1998 Life-Like (I believe now made by Walthers Trainline) HO scale kit, which is a venerable tooling dating to the late 60s and represents early 7-Eleven architecture from circa 1965.

All in all I'm glad I'm out of art block and creating, as opposed to second guessing myself and being too hard on myself & my work.

Slideshow of detailing & in-progress photos below.
