Acura's new TLX Type-S to be priced in the low to mid $50,000s
Equipped with all-wheel-drive and a 3.0 liter turbocharged V6 pushing out 300+ horsepower, the TLX Type-S deserves to have eyes on it.
The 2021 Acura TLX is set to launch late next month with a starting price of $37,500, while an official exact price point for the TLX Type-S was not stated it was stated that "The TLX Type S, with Acura's new 3.0 liter V6 Turbo and standard Super Handling All-Wheel Drive, arrives next spring well-equipped in the low to mid $50,000s".
The 3.0 liter V6 the Type-S will come with will push out an estimated 355 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. That source of power will be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and will throw power down to all four wheels.
On the topic of differences than much of the normal TLX trims, the Type-S will have a Integrated Dynamic System (IDS) system that adds a Sport+ mode for the Type-S, an Adaptive Damper System (ADS) standard, and a Brembo brake system to name a few things.
