With Valtteri Bottas winning the latest round in the F1 championship, Mercedes look to have a decisive lead in the World Constructors Championship.
Mercedes dominance in Turkey sees the lead in the constructors championships grow to 36 points ahead of Red Bull.
A first victory of the season for Bottas when Mercedes' number one driver took an engine penalty was exactly what Mercedes needed to prevent Red Bull from gaining ground and taking advantage in both championships.
Second place in Turkey was good enough for Max to turn the drivers battle in his favor, however the Brackley team were good enough for first and fifth as well as the fastest lap. Giving them 36 points for the weekend compared to Verstappen and Sergio Perez who could only collect 33 points for their efforts in round 16.
This leaves Mercedes as the team to beat heading into the final six rounds, and with their Finish driver finally looking in a good run of form, they will hope that this can continue to the end of the season to bring at least one title back to the team. As well as meaning that they can keep themselves in the number one garage for the 2022 season.
