Aerodynamic Regulation Changes for 2019
Some areodynamic regulation changes for the 2019 Formula 1 cars
The regulation changes around the 2019 cars are still a little shady when it comes to what is definitely happening, and what is not. What I can say for certain is the images posted below are some changes that are happening for the 2019 cars! This article is related to only the aerodynamics side of the regulations.
Front Wings
The 2019 front wings will have a maximum width of 2000mm, compared to 2018's 1800mm maximum width. Upper flaps and the endplates are also restricted in shape to reduce outwash. The stakes from underneath the front wing are also being reduced to a maximum of two per side.

Brake ducts
The 2018 regulations allow teams to pace aerodynamic devices such as wings and vortex generators to the brake ducts, suspension and steering arms. The 2019 regulations will no longer allow for this.

Bargeboards
The current 2018 regulations allow for some tall yet thing bargeboards, the new 2019 regulations will allow bargeboards to be 15cm lower, but extended forward by and extra 10cm

Rear wings
The current 2018 rear wings are wide and low in structure, but the 2019 regulations will amplify this with even wider and lower rear wings, to help increase the DRS effect. The horizontal gills at the top of the rear end plates will be outlawed, rear wings will be 100mm wider, to 1050mm, and can be up to 20mm taller. The DRS opening will increase to 85mm from 65mm.
