If pupil piercing style is your jazz then GM's giant 90s B-Body is not playing your tune. Smooth long curves flow from bow to stern. Compared to the previous decade this delivered a divergent aerodynamic philosophy. Such lines appear to have been laid by a purposeful hand rather than software program. The Impala in its black dress looks more like the voluptuous woman across the room whose got a lot to offer if only you'd go up and talk to her.

Like the 409 and 427 equipped Impalas of thirty years prior, such a physically large powerhouse became an exclusive purchase. Without seeing the five spoke aluminum wheels this is comparable to a Caprice. Different from their space race era parents, the '94-'96 Impala SS came with all the thunder and no less. A Corvette sourced LT-1 V8 herded 260 horses to a limited slip differential via a four speed automatic. Supposedly the Corvette still made more power, but a few bolt ons terminated that prejudice.

The business beneath that smooth shell did nothing to sap passenger comfort. These B-Bodies would be nothing without that plush reputation. Chevy's Impala SS wrapped pleasantly padded front buckets with modest side bolstering and rear bench seating around inhabitants. It may be hilarious to say aloud, but this GM product set a platform for today's Dodge Charger. Families could purchase a tire frying cross country machine. If dad were alone you might hear "Smoke on the Water" over the dual exhaust. Perhaps a joke today, this two ton power puncher's ability to reach 60 mph from a stop under 8 seconds deserved a standing ovation twenty-two years ago. All of your main street predatory performance lied within this automobile that gave plenty to grasp. So the next time size becomes an issue don't overlook the option with some extra curvature. Sometimes we overlook the most complete package like an Impala.
