Ford is about to launch its brand new and small sports, which should be marketed at the end of 2018. But before, the manufacturer to the blue oval details some information about this sporty city, just to put the mouth watering ... or not. The Ford Fiesta ST will have the right to a mechanical limited slip differential, something that does not have for example the Renault Clio R.S.

This original Quaife Limited Slip Differential will only be available as an option, allowing you to transfer the engine torque to the front wheel, which offers the best grip for maximum traction. Ford engineers went further by adding the Torque Vectoring Control. It limits the understeer effect by slowing down the rotational speed of the inner wheel. For even more madness, the new Ford Fiesta ST embarks a mode Launch Control which, as you know, meets the optimal conditions to go from 0 to 100 km / h in no time.

Under the hood, we find the 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine that delivers 200 hp and 290 Nm of torque between 1600 and 4000 rpm. This engine can, depending on the conditions, deactivate a cylinder to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The little sportswoman goes from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.5 seconds and can go up to 232 km / h.

The driver will be able to select the level of intervention of the ESC by deactivating it completely, or allowing a limited or complete intervention. In addition, like any good sport nowadays, it is possible to select between three driving modes: Normal, Sport or Track. This selector intervenes on the engine, the sound of the exhaust and the direction.

To slow down or brake completely, the Ford Fiesta ST can count on its ventilated discs of 278 mm at the front and 253 mm at the rear. Available in three or five doors, the sports car will receive Recaro seats as standard, the 6.5 "touch screen, help keeping the track, recognizing signs and the SYNC 3 multimedia system.

Now remains to know his rate which should be between 25,000 and 30,000 euros.
