After I heard about the undoubtedly inevitable moment when electric cars become some what the 'norm', I was quite frankly a bit disappointed. Bear in mind the electric cars at this time nothing more than milk floats with a tad more power ( take the G-Wiz and that god awful Mitsubishi i-MiEV). But since then, electric cars have certainly grown into what can pretty much only described as WHINING ROCKETSHIPS FROM THE BOWLS OF ALMIGHTY HELL. Such cars as the Rimac Concept 1 (and 2), and the newly released Lotus Evija! Not to forget the absolutely sublime new EVs coming into the world of reliable family cars, for example the Tesla Model 3 and Model S.
My point stands that this whole so called revolution of electric car may not be too bad after all. speed-freaks cant be disappointed due to the absolutely incredible 0-60 times some of these cars are making. and the people in need of a reliable family car have plenty of choice.
Like myself however, many people are beginning to wander how these drive-trains will effect other parts of the motoring community, such as the drifting community. Its quite frankly quite hard to imagine seeing sideways cars without hearing the scream of a rotary or the roar of an RB26.
In conclusion i believe that even though it will be unbelievably hard to see engines like the 2JZ go, electric cars are absolutely not what my initial thought was, just milk floats with extra power.
