Yes the statement above was expressed by "Matt Bubbers" who published an article in theglobeandmail.com praising the Mclaren 720s to be a serious driving instrument in comparison to its rival competitor. Even though most of us may not be able to drive this car with an MSRP of $284,745 but, there's other attributes of the car that tell me why this may be leaning more into the supercar realm than it's luxurious competitor, Ferrari.
VISIBILITY AND AGILITY ARE WHAT MAKE THE 720s A FORMIDABLE BUY FOR THE MASSES.
The 720s is built around a carbon-fiber monocoque, unlike the Ferrari 488 or the Lamborghini Huracan. The biggest factor is not just the lightweight chassis which weights in a little over 3,000 lbs, but the visibility issue that most supercar drivers tend to have a hassle with, Mclaren has done away with in this model giving the driver much more visibility. For a reason.
The Mclaren doesn't hide it's true nature and has been known as a car that could teach you the dark arts of car control. With a twin turbo 4.0L V8 supercar that lacks a limited slip differential sounds a bit wild but, with Mclarens hydraulic link suspension setup paired with carbon ceramic brakes help keep this car in line if your willing to push it to its limits if not your own. The cars variable "Drift Control" allows the driver to dial in how much rear-wheel slip is allowed before the cars tech nannies save you from utter annihilation or extreme embarrassment.
Effective as daily drivable car, the 720s is able to handle everyday road duties like your typical daily without sacrificing comfort for speed, all while being able to handle any track you'd toss it into as well as letting others know, you have arrived in style when your out on leisure.
