AlphaTauri launched as new-for F1 team at Red Bull Hangar-7
The Italian outfit has got a re-brand from Red Bull.
AlphaTauri has been launched for the 2020 F1 season at Red Bull Hangar-7 as the re-branded team starts its new journey.
Rounding out the car launches for the Red Bull program of teams and also half of the current grid, Scuderia AlphaTauri have launched their 2020 F1 car, the AT01, as the outfit moves away from Toro Rosso after running as it since the 2006 season.
The new car marks the beginning of a new era for the Red Bull junior team, as they have re-branded for 2020 as AlphaTauri, which is the company's fashion brand based in Austria. The team had a grand launch at Red Bull Hanger-7 amid media and fans.
After a long fashion show showcasing AlphaTauri as a brand, they revealed the team gear mainly in the greyish blue and white combination. The livery of the new car is predominantly white like the race suit with a splash of dark blue.
The new car will be driven by Daniil Kvyat and Pierre Gasly as AlphaTauri will continue using the Honda engine. The team will be hoping to close up to the front of the mid-field pack in 2020 F1 season and challenge the likes of McLaren and Renault.
They will make their debut at Misano in Italy on Saturday when Kvyat and Gasly will shake down the 2020 F1 car ahead of the Barcelona pre-season test next week.
The Swiss-Italian outfit is having a filming day while also announced a new partner.
The German manufacturer had revealed the livery before and now have the car shown as well.
The British team moves to matte as well while keeping the same combination.
The French outfit will have its 2020 car revealed in Barcelona.
The team will have a shakedown at Silverstone with Max Verstappen.
