Michele Alboreto wins the 1985 Formula 1 World Championship over Alain Prost while overcoming reliability issues from his Ferrari 156/85, becoming the first Italian champion since the 1950s and giving Ferrari their first championship since 1979.
Stefan Bellof and Jacky Ickx collide at Spa, leaving Ickx to have a career ending crash that left him with broken legs and an injured shoulder. Bellof would go on to partner Stefan Johansson at Ferrari in F1 in 1986 and then Gerhard Berger from 1987-1989.
Ayrton Senna is Partnered alongside Derek Warwick for 1986, with Derek Warwick capturing his first 2 wins of his career during the 1986 season, with him and Senna propelling Lotus into P2 in the Constructors Championship.
Keke Rosberg was retained alongside Nigel Mansell for 1986, while Nelson Piquet and Teo Fabi swapped places, with Piquet partnering Berger at Benetton while Fabi partnered Elio de Angelis and then Riccardo Patrese at Brabham.
Keke Rosberg wins his second and final title for Williams, beating Alain Prost and Nigel Mansell to it.
Meanwhile in the 2010's....
Lewis Hamilton decides to stay with Mclaren for 2013 and that Nico Hulkenberg had took up Michael Schumacher's seat at Mercedes, partnering Nico Rosberg.
Felipe Massa takes his 12th and final F1 victory at the 2010 German Grand Prix, with Alonso finishing P2.
Nico Hulkenberg wins the 2012 Brazilian GP, making him the 9th different winner that season and giving Force India their first victory.
Back to the 80's!
Tommy Byrne is signed alongside Keke Rosberg at Williams for 1982 with Byrne being the first Irish driver to win a Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Alain Prost wins the 1983 World Championship over Piquet by 3 points, taking Renault's first world championship of their career and becoming the first turbocharged champion.
Nigel Mansell had signed a contract with Mclaren for 1990 in December of 1989 after Prost's departure from Mclaren
Mansell underwent testing at Jerez prior to official pre-season testing
Stefan Bellof had also signed a contract with Williams in the same month, taking up Mansell's seat for 1990.
