Amazon is now selling flying security cameras

This is next level...

Over the past few years, Ring has been the leading company when it comes to doorbells and home security. They have been the best sellers on Amazon recently and now they have just gone and released something rather spectacular.

This is Ring's latest invention and it is none other than the flying security camera. Now, I know what you're thinking, "but Ben, this is just a stupid idea," well hear me out because it's actually somewhat helpful.

This flying indoor security camera senses when someone breaks into your house with the help of another Ring device which detects if doors are open. It then alerts the drone camera which takes off from its docking station immediately and moves towards the attacker.

You then get a notification on your phone alerting you of what is happening and when you click on the alert, you get live footage of the camera drone in action. Then the drone sort of chases the burgler out of the house and the job's a good'un...

I can't see this working in all scenarios but I can see how it could be helpful. My only question is, what is you have cats. For anyone who has them will know that one of these flying through the house will not last a minute, trust me.

  • You might just end up with a video of your burglar taking a swing at it with a baseball bat before watching it fling across the room, hit the wall, end transmission... 😂

  • I'd buy one if the drone played the theme song from the old Cops tv show.
