On December 14 Amazon announced their electric “robotaxi” that has a claimed runtime of sixteen hours on one charge. On the inside the Zoox (yes, that is what the’re calling it) has four seats and lots of room and nowhere in the car can you find a steering wheel or any other controls instead you will find a small screen on the wall next to the seats (probably for putting in were you want to go).

Amazon has said the busses have a range of 300 miles on one charge and a top speed of 75 miles per hour which is pretty good considering these vehicles will likely be used for intercity travel, possibly taking over the cab industry.

I get a feeling that big tech would really like to lower men's testosterone in general.
Docile nerds glued to screens, what's not to like.
So what does your ideal future look like?
that's a wide open question. For starters, not *that* - not the car, nor the herds of docile nerds.
I kind of liked the cars they had in Gattaca. Made good electrical car sounds, too.
cute
Maybe it could be used as a bus to locations that full-sized ones can't go usually (Tight city streets, downtown areas)
Your right, and because the don’t have a front and a back they are a lot more maneuverable
I’ll wait a decade and allow for the deaths and collateral damages caused by incompetent autonomy dust to settle before deciding to relinquish control to autonomous vehicles. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So what your saying is your gonna wait before they are proven to be safe?
Obviously. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
