Someone has listed an LS swapped 1987 Toyota 4x4 Pickup available to bid now on Bring a Trailer! The 6.2-liter LS3 V8 crate motor is linked with a 4L65-E four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range NP205 transfer case, which is helpful when heading on off-road adventures. Power is sent to all four wheels through ARB air-locking differentials with 4.88 gears and a Currie 9-inch rear end. And, it's smog legal too!

The truck rides on Bilstein shocks with Wilwood disc brakes behinds American Racing 15-inch wheels with BFGoodrich All-Terrain 33×12.5-inch tires. On-board is a Vintage Air air conditioning system, Dakota Digital instrumentation, and an Alpine head unit with navigation.

A black-finished diamond-plate tool box is mounted in the truck bed and houses the battery and onboard air system. Additional equipment includes a Smittybilt tubular rear bumper, a receiver hitch, a sliding rear window, and mud flaps. Some damage is visible on the front lip.

The auction ends in just three days with the current bid sitting at a respectful $20k.

Someone buy this before I do!

    • Can you put an LS in anything? There's a reason why people put LS's in everything. They're small, light, powerful, ubiquitous and very easy to modify. A rover 3500 isn't powerful, ubiquitous or easy to modify.

    • And there is the challenge and uniqueness. There is the thinking. It's what sets it apart from all the other custom builds that show little to no effort. People do all sorts of work on a custom build only to fall flat on their face by dropping in a...

  • Why would you want something that won’t do anything particularly well?

  • If I had the money I’d buy it. Importing to the U.K. would be a pain though, as would being a left hooker. But I’d survive lol
