Andrea Dovizioso had problems with the rear tire during the Styrian GP
The malfunction of the rear electric blanket prevented the Italian rider from fighting for the victory in the Styrian GP
The 2020 MotoGP season is proving extremely uncertain thanks to the victories of several outsiders during the first races of the championship. In the last race in Austria it was the Portuguese Miguel Oliveira who took the victory with a bold move made in the last corners of the Red Bull Ring.
Andrea Dovizioso, despite the great commitment, finished fifth and the analyzes carried out by the Michelin technicians after the race identified the problem that did not allow the Italian driver to fight for the victory. The blanket used to warm the rear whell before the start of the race appears to have failed, preventing the tire from inflating properly.
Despite this inconvenience, the fifth position obtained by Dovizioso allowed him to reduce his gap from Fabio Quartararo to just three points. If he continues to race consistently, perhaps this year could be the decisive one for his career.
