Angie qualifies 7th in the Carrera Pan-Americana

It's all kicking off in Mexico as the race deemed the most dangerous in the world completes it's qualifying stage. Our friends in Team 122, racing a 1953 Studebaker Champion for Mexico's Museo del Automovil, put in a great qualifying run landing them 7th place! They completed the 15.32km course with an average speed of 94.277kph (58.58mph). The ceremonial start took place in the historic centre of Oaxaca in front of the temple of Santo Domingo. Angelica and Gabriel received bottles of Mezcal painted with their faces and their car, whats more the artist also painted Angie's face in traditional Mexican style so she looked amazing on the starting ramp! They can't party too hard tonight though, tomorrow they have the first day of racing from Oaxaca to Veracruz. Yes I am jealous, very, very jealous.....I'm living vicariously through you Angie, go for it girl! - Thanks to Angelica Fuentes Garcia for letting me share her photos and race story with you. #carrerapanamericana

    • Oh I wish! Sadly no, the photos are Angelica's, I asked if I could share them with you when we met up at Goodwood last month. It's one for the bucket list though, maybe next year I can...
