a(nother) new project: dustin's cb750 cafe bike
- Last weekend we headed up north to Shasta, CA, which is about four hours away. - It was a trip to go pick up Dustin's new cafe bike project.- It's a 1980 CB750, which has obviously already been gone through and has some nice tweaks here and there.- It's definitely a peculiar bike... I can't quite figure out why they chose certain details, like the tank style and color...- Or that horrendous faux alligator skin seat.- Other than that, it's in pretty good shape! The frame has been powdercoated, and the engine is stock but polished and spruced up cosmetically... there was only one problem. - The bike had been sitting for a while. Dustin chose to ride it home, given that it started and ran perfectly fine. However, we experienced some loss of power and a possible battery issue on the way home. - We ended up making it (almost) the whole way home, so at the end of the day, it wasn't such a bad trip. Getting to see these views before we went home was worth it. - Excited to see what he does with it in the future! All I know is that seat is definitely on its way out. We recently made the trip to pick up a new motorcycle project, and I have to say, it's pretty badass.
