Are Car Purists Bad?

We were all that kid at some point, the one who only knew about Lamborghinis and Ferraris. They were your dream cars and nobody could tell you different because you knew no different, what the heck is a Lotus anyway? You dreamt of having two or three in your mansion's garage when you grew up. Did that happen, did it all come true? Well, call me if it did I want to see your garage. But most of you are probably scratching your head wondering where your beloved Lambo is. Well, that reality didn't happen get real, now you're scrolling through DriveTribe looking at cars you'll never own. Did you stick to your guns? Do you still love Lamborghinis to death? Or in your desperate search for justice did you discover a new vehicle? A new steed worthy of your presence behind the wheel. Perhaps, the Lambo wasn't the only supercar in the world. Maybe there was another? Go ahead name it, whatever it may be. Truly you have another love deep down, you know that the Lamborghini isn't truly the one for you. But some do not share this moral feeling, some still cling to the dream of a Lambo so hard that it blinds them. They turn their noses up at Porche, Aston Martin, McLaren. They have no love for car culture, or the wonderful joy of modding. The sad truth is they will never get their Lamborghini because they have a Prius. Don't be this guy

Appreciating all types of cars can make you a likable person. I'm not saying you can't dislike something, but you should feel an appreciation for most cars and their company's. Don't let your favorite car blind you from all the other incredible ones out there. The car community is an amazing place and your opinion matters a lot to me and others. I will not be angry if your dream car is my least favorite car in the world, (2006 Subaru Baja) I will merely cry myself to sleep in private as to not hurt your feelings. You don't have to be angry with my favorite car, (1977 Porsche 911 Turbo) we can just respect each others opinions. Ask questions, ask the offending person why they choose such a disgraceful car. Then pop all their tires when they go out to a party. No you weren't invited to the party, you're not friends anymore because of your opinion on cars remember?

Anyway the point is you shouldn't be mad at people who Carolina Squat their trucks, just don't drive near them, you know they cant see over their hood. Don't flip out at the tuners who slam cars and use way too much camber, just know that your tires are going to last way longer than their's and your undercarriage is safe from speed bumps. That one Supra that screams around your neighborhood with five turbos on it? Cool, you know you're jealous.

But then again, you have an opinion. To you, your opinion is the only one that matters. You're a selfish animal, a human by definition. Why shouldn't you be able to disrespect you least favorite cars. You're a grown man, you can do what you want! The truth is, you can. You can be the biggest car purest ever, no fault there. Sure, go ahead have your 1970 Corvette Stingray. Worship the thing, drive it on nice days and park it in your climate controlled garage for the better part of the year. I won't judge, but if you can't respect my opinions I can't respect yours. Come on, let's be kinder to each other DriveTribe.
