Are you ready (again) for an all new CC Team Transport?

Will this be another success? #Hot wheels #team transport #Porsche #Superbird #76 #mazda 787b #efini

Just when you thought your wallet is safe, out comes Mattel to pull you back in. I know it's been just less than a week since I posted Hot Wheels upcoming Car Culture with a new Japanese Historic 3 and now Mattel is already announcing their newest Team Transport sets. Release date TBA. Credit to HW for the image.

Going towards #16 is the return of the Mazda 787B with the Sakura Sprinter.

As most of you will remember the 787B has previously been issued under the Car Culture Circuit Legends back in 2018 and includes a removable engine cover. Here's hoping there is no more bend wing.

Next is #17 RWB Porsche 930 and Aero lift

RWB, RWB, RWB. Need I say it again. Hot Wheels brought back the Porsche in RWB livery that first appeared in Car Culture Silhouettes and it's given the full treatment.

And (drum roll) the last one is #18 '70 Plymouth Superbird and a new truck casting called Wide Open. Really? Mattel, you should have someone come up with a better name for these generic trucks.

Although I'm not a Superbird collector, the 76 livery on this one looks so good that I may bring it home with me. If I ever find one.

Even though the cars are the main casting that people usually look at when purchasing the TT, there are collectors out there that also collect these trucks. I'm glad that Mattel is still coming out with new trucks and a realistic one even when it's a generic. Will these still fit in your budget? Share your thoughts.

  • Mazda set will fly off the pegs! Sadly though, why don't they do replicas of actual trucks? Would have been awesome :/

    • Agree. I bet it’s the cost of licensing. Either license 1 or 2 trucks and generic on the rest and be competitive in price or raise the prices.
