Artist combines two gorgeous Nissan concepts & somehow creates hideous monster
Remember the Italdesign GT-R50 from earlier this year? The stunning concept car - built to celebrate Italdesign and the GT-R badge both turning 50 - was so wildly popular that it's now going into limited production - with a price tag barely south of £1,000,000.
Remember the Nissan 2020 Gran Turismo? Never intended to be any more than a design exercise and bonus car on a video game, it was so incredibly striking that Nissan ended up building a full-size model of it and proudly putting it on display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
This week, renders have appeared online of an artist's attempt to combine these two gorgeous cars. And oh dear God.
*vomits in mouth
Of course, beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder. But to this casual observer, it seems the artist has somehow succeeded in borrowing design elements of both cars, and then managed to put them together in the wrong order or something. It's so very wrong.
Perhaps it's ahead of its time - perhaps years from now we'll recognise this design as the masterpiece it truly is. But I doubt it.
